The word Serendipity means : "Happy Accident" or " Pleasant Suprise"
There are continually life happenings that fall into this catagory, be open to them. Everyone can use some serendipity in their lives. It makes it more fulfilling.
Hi, Sarandipity. I totally agree that there are "happy accidents" that happen in our lives. Actually, I think a lot of our stress in everyday life comes from the fact that we try TOO hard. If we would be patient and wait on God, at times, then things would work themselves out. That is not to say that we should be lazy or not put forth effort to create and control our own destiny. Sometimes, however, things happen beyond our control and they are out of our hands, so to speak. That is when we need to trust that it will be worked out for us.
I just recently found the word serendipity and am not sure how I missed that one in my vocabulary for so long, but I love the sound of the word as well as the meaning.
I love the play on words you used for your blog as well, with your name and the word merged into one.
I agree that we all have happy accidents if we think about it, two terms ago we had to discuss the happy accidents in our lives and a couple of students swore they couldn't think of any, until we responded on the discussion board with examples and ideas.
I look forward to interactions over the next nine weeks!
